You know that feeling when you wake up with a runny nose, heavy head and a tingling in your throat? You just instantly know it’s the flu breaking out and you would do anything to avoid it!
Like every year, the flu season has arrived and we therefore want to share our best tips on how to prevent it. Or, if you are unlucky and already caught it; how to get back on track.
Amla C Tablets
The Indian berry Amla contains large amounts of natural vitamin C and strengthens the immune system. Amla is an absolute rock star when it comes to preventing the flu and taking 3-4 tablets a day it will definitely do the trick.
Your lifestyle impacts your immune system and things like stress, working late hours, eating in front of the computer or stay awake until the early morning hours can affect your health. Make sure to have good routines and take care of yourself and your body.
Sleep mode: ON
It’s said that sleep deprivation radically increases your vulnerability to infectious diseases. You know how it is, the less sleep the moodier you get. Bottom line; turn off your laptop, phone or pad and get to bed in a reasonable time. Rest and recover.
Boil some water, add a few drops of essential oils and inhale the warm, moist air under a kitchen towel. Or take an extra hot shower. The hot steam can help you relax and clear up the nasal passage, as well as relieve muscle soreness.
Wash your hands
Washing your hands regularly is key to avoid getting sick and/or spread the germs to other people. You may think a quick rinse under water is enough to clean your hands, but you’d be surprised! Many diseases are spread by not washing hands with soap and clean water.
Being active is always good, but don’t go overboard. If you feel a bit under the weather, skip your workout or call in sick at work. Be gentle to your body and let it rest when it needs too.
We wish you good luck in kicking the flu’s ass and hope these tips help! If you have more tips, feel free to share in the comment field below.
