Summer or fall, every season is a good time to sit down with a book! Here are some new tips on books worth diving into.
Rising Strong by Brenè Brown
In this book, social scientist Brenè Brown talks about courage, vulnerability and worthiness. She has uncovered a profound truth: Vulnerability—the willingness to show up and be seen with no guarantee of outcome—is the only path to more love, belonging, creativity, and joy. But living a brave life isn’t always easy: We are, inevitably, going to stumble and fall. This book tells us what it takes to get back up, and how owning our stories of disappointment, failure and heartbreak gives us the power to write a new ending.
Me Before You by Jojo Moyes
If you haven’t already read this, you definitely should. It’s a beautiful story about Lou Clark, a girl in a small town, that forms an unlikely bond with a paralyzed man she’s taking care of. It’s a book about life, love and death. It has been on top of the best seller list since day one and has been published in more than 30 countries. It has even been turned into a movie.
After You by Jojo Moyes
This book continues where the first one left off. It’s kind of hard writing a review on this book without reveling what happens in the first one, but let’s just say, if you have read or will read Me before You, you should definitely read this one as well. We all want to know how Lou Clark is doing after the ending of the first book and it’s safe to say that this book is both sad, funny and heartbreaking.
