Guarana latte kick

New week, new opportunities – start your day with a guarana latte, a great substitute to coffee with only four ingredients.

Many of us drink coffee every day, not only because of the taste, but also to kick start our day. However, since we’re in to superfood we’ve been trying something with the same kick, but with less side effects – let us present the magical guarana berries!

These berries grow on a climbing plant in the Amazonas in Brazil and have been used to boost people’s energy level for quite some time. They contain two times more caffeine than coffee and the effect of it lasts a few hours. Despite this positive effect, several clinical studies show that Guarana can improve memory and alertness. In many cases it can also improve a person’s mood – It sure improves ours!  To drink a hot chocolate drink every day is pure happiness in itself.


Ingredients (serves 2)
4 dl oat milk, or any milk you prefer
1 tsp guarana powder (found in most health stores and online)
4 tbsp raw cacao
2 tsp fair trade honey

Heat up the milk in a skillet, make sure you don’t burn it. Add the guarana power and raw cacao and whisk together, add the honey and let it simmer for a few minutes on low heat. Pour into cups and enjoy this, slightly thick and chocolatey drink.
