Long, strong and luscious hair, we all dream of it, but getting it is easier said than done. We’ve listed a few ways that can help you obtain healthy hair in the long run, and trust us, it’s worth the effort.
1. Keep it dry
Taking long showers is nice and all, but the water together with shampoo can actually harm your hair rather than do good. Try to not wash your hair more than 2-3 times a week. It’s OK to wash your hair with water if you are sweaty of course, but avoid shampoo.
Never ever comb your hair while it’s wet. It will harm your strands and may cause split ends. When it has dried, use a detangle brush and comb from the crown of your head down to the ends. This will spread natural oil from your scalp to your drier ends and give a natural shine.
3. Braid it
You move your head quite a few times when you sleep and this can damage your hair. Braid it in one or two loose braids instead.
Give yourself a daily scalp massage, or make your partner or friend do it ;). It will increase the blood circulation to your head and stimulate hair growth, and it feels amazing. Do it every morning to get energized before work or school.
5. Drink water
Drink at least 1,5 litres of water each day. If you work out drink more.
Stress can cause hair loss – start practicing yoga (don’t stand on your head though – as it may cause bald patches) or sit down once in a while and breathe with your eyes closed. Count your breaths to completely focus on this exercise.
