Summer has arrived and the time has come to yet again break out those bathing suits. While we all love hitting the beach, most of us feel a bit anxious about rocking a bikini. Let´s turn that around shall we?

It is natural to feel self-conscious sometimes, and sadly, most of us have negative thoughts about our bodies more than often. Even more frequently during summer. We therefore want to invite you to come and learn how to turn those thoughts around, helping you connect body and mind in a healthy and sustainable way.

Best of You & Clarion, together with Personal Trainer & Yoga Instructor Alexandra Öhrlund and KTB- and Mental Coach Anki Ström will guide you through a workshop, focusing on self-love, body image and social medias impact on this very common, yet challenging topic.  Through compassion-focused and acceptance and commitment therapy, we will help you embrace your body and mind, finding that confidence that comes from within.

Get your summerboost on

Summer is around the corner and it´s time to celebrate! Together with Convendum we want to invite you to come enjoy some refreshments, good company and get the opportunity to make new acquaintances.

Let´s get ready to mingle!
After a long and hectic winter, it is time to get a little boost of summer. We will start of the evening with a 30/45 minutes’ workshop led by Motivational Speaker Maria Swanström, who will share tools on how to fill your days with more positive energy, helping you getting your power on.

Afterwards we will simply enjoy the warm weather, some cold Cava delievered by Juvinum ​and pizza slices from Vapiano on the roof top terrace, giving you all the opportunity to mingle and refuel your inspiration tank.  A DJ will make sure to spread some good vibes and Oriflame will be in place with one makeup- and one skin care station if you want to pamper yourself a little extra. And don’t miss out on the chance to win a big summer package from their Concept Store in Stockholm.

Bring a friend,  a loved one or colleague to our summer mingle and simply enjoy yourself, meet new people and refuel after a season of hard work. Why? Because you deserve it!

Be Inspired

Vacation mode ON

Vacation time is upon us, and we guess most of you are already unwinding with a good book somewhere. And that’s exactly what vacations are all about: unwinding.

The time has come for us to take a little break as well. We want to follow our own advice and disconnect to be able to reconnect. We are headed out in the world, exploring new places, feeding our souls with new impressions and create new memories. We will leave our computers behind and be back 1st of August with lots of new articles and inspiring events.

We wish you all a relaxing summer and remember; live in the moment and smile as much as possible, because life is such a beautiful thing!

Nature’s candy

I have never been big on candy. I love cakes and chocolate, but candy I managed to stay away from really easily. I much prefer nature’s candy: the berries. 

And among them, blueberries are high on my list. Not only do they taste delicious by themselves or in pretty much any kind of smoothie, breakfast or dessert recipe, but they have tons of great properties.

Being full of antioxidants (substances that inhibits oxidation and removes potentially damaging agents in a living organism such as the gallic acid), blueberries have a reputation to help “fight” aging, boost your brain, improve your digestion (thank you fibers!), are good for your skin and heart and even help fight some types of cancer.

I think all this information about blueberries that my mom used to tell me when I was younger got stuck in my head. Especially the part about blueberries being good for the sight. Being the four-eyed that I am, I must have focused more on the raspberries growing up though. Oops.

More recently I read that the Royal Air Force was known to consume a lot of blueberries during World War two which allegedly improved their night vision. It´s said the pigment (anthocyanin) contained in the berry and providing the blue/purple colour is helping  to improve sight.

While writing this I noticed the deeper you research the more your read about the pro and cons and discover ongoing debates on whether this and that is true or not. But honestly even if only half of these facts turn out to be true,  I would much rather keep eating summer’s candy. And if it all is just a placebo effect, it’s one delicious one!

So now that summer is around the corner and berries are appearing everywhere whether you go and pick them yourself or you buy them at your local supermarket, do not hesitate to grab a box or two! They are delicious as a treat by themselves, in fruit salads, to top a cake or ice cream, but also in pies or even better if you ask me, in smoothies.

Fresh watermelon cake

A new kind of cake is in town; watermelon cake! Ever tried it? It’s both easy to make and taste delicious. The perfect dessert or side dish to serve friends and family.

Tips: Take advantage of the season and go crazy with fresh berries!

1 watermelon
1 Kiwi
Small tomatoes
Berries for garnish (Blueberries, blackberries and raspberries are our favorites)
Feta cheese
Some fresh mint leaves

Slice a large round from a watermelon and lay onto a cutting board. Slice it equally into 8 portions, like you would a cake. Cut the tomatoes and kiwi in pieces and garnish with berries, and mint leaves. Sprinkle some feta cheese on top and it’s ready to be served.

When it comes to topping you can choose whatever you want, this is just a tip. Another good combinaton is sliced banana, berries and dried coconut. Let your imagination run wild and top it with whatever you like.

Summer mocktail

It’s summer time and, according to us,  the best occassion to lie in the sun, put on the shades and sip on a nice drink. We would like to share a recipe which is both healthy as well as filling. The best thing is that it only requires a few ingredients!

Ingredients (serves 2)
2 dl coconut milk (preferably organic)
2.5 dl Pineapple juice (preferably freshly juiced)
2.5 dl crushed ice
1.5 dl crushed pineapple
1 to 2 tbsp brown sugar (optional)

Use a blender and add the pineapple juice, crushed pineapple, coconut milk, brown sugar (optional) and ice cubes. Mix everything until you have a nice consitency. Serve in a high ball glass and enjoy with your loved ones!

Summer tunes

Summer is finally here, and we want to celebrate our favorite season with some music. 

Whether you’re headed to the beach, firing up the grill, hanging in the park with friends or enjoying a cold summer drink this weekend, we got you covered. So let’s crank up the sound and enjoy the summer tunes.

A portion of kindness

For us, raspberries are the symbol of summer and therefore the perfect ingredient in a cooling smoothie. We added some pineapple juice and passion fruit to get that tropical feeling as well.

Fun fact: Raspberries are deeply symbolic. For instance, in Christian art, the raspberry is the symbol for kindness.

1 banana
1 passion fruit
2 dl frozen raspberries
Pineapple juice (or tropical juice)
A dash of honey

Mix all the ingredients in a blender. Choose the amount of juice based on how thick/thin you prefer your smoothie. Serve in a glass bottle with a glass straw, preferably cold.

Dinner in 5 minutes

Life can be stressful and sometimes we need to eat something fast, and we don’t mean junk food.

Sandwiches can be a great alternative when you’ve been working late or when you feel exhausted and lack inspiration. Especially when it’s warm outside. Check out this yummy and easy recipe.

2 slices of dark rye bread (or toast if you feel like it)
100 g of cold smoked salmon
1/2 red onion
1/2 lime
A bunch of radishes
100 g of creme fraiche
Cilantro (can be exluded)

Chop the red onion and radishes into little cubes and mix with the creme fraioche in a bowl. Add a few drops of lime, salt and pepper to the mix. Put the slices of bread on a plate and add a generous amount of the mix. Take as many slices of salmon you want and put on top of the creme fraiche mixture. Chop a bunch of chives and sprinkle on top. Decorate with cilantro leaves and slices of red onion.

The perfect summer drink

Summer is officially here and that means garden parties and fresh pink drinks. This wine slush is our favorite.

We can’t help it – pink drinks are magical and this one is really easy to make! Don’t forget that extra touch of lavender if you are throwing a party!

Bottle of Rosé (alcohol free wine works just as fine)
120 ml of Elderflower lemonade
Ice Cubes
Sprig of Lavender (optional)

Freeze bottle of rosé in ice cube trays (overnight). Combine frozen rosé, eldeflower juice and a handful of ice cubes in a blender. Blend until all ice cubes have been crushed and when it’s at your desired consistency serve in a cute coupe with a sprig of lavender. Cheers!
