The underrated form of exercise

Walking: such a great and underestimated activity. What’s not to like? It’s a gentle exercise that is both free and available for everyone. Here are some reasons to why we are very fond of walking!

Vitamin D
Many people, especially in Scandinavia, are vitamin D deficient, which comes from the lack of sunlight. This affects the immune system and other things like our bone health. So the best way of refilling your stack of vitamin D is to go for a walk.

Energy kick

We dream of both longer days and more energy! There is not much we can do about time, we only have 24 hours in a day, but we can do something about our energy level! A walk is one of the best natural energizers available and taking a walk will increase both your oxygen supply and kick start the cells in your body, making you feel more alert and energized.

You, nature and fresh air! Is there anything more relaxing than that? That combination is truly key to finding your inner calm and load your batteries. It also gives you time to think and reflect upon this beautiful thing called life.

Boost your mood
Walking is said to make people happy, and research shows that a walk is just as effective as antidepressants in mild cases of depression. So if you’re feeling low, go for a walk, see if it helps!

Physical activity doesn’t need to be complicated and a simple walk can help you live a healthier life. We therefore want to challenge you to walk 30 minutes each day for the rest of the week and see how you feel! If you feel up for it, we would love to hear from you afterwards, or if you want to share in social media use the hashtag #walkwithus so we can follow you.  Have a nice walk!
