Treat your skin right

Did you know that the skin is the body`s largest living organ? It is therefore essential that we take care of it. Nevertheless, we continue to rub products containing chemicals onto our skin. Why is it that we are far more scrutinizing about what we put in our body than what we put on it?

Many of us use the same skin care products that we have for the last few years, never thinking for a split second about what´s actually in them. Why should we? They promise great results and the packaging looks nice. Who cares? Well, we care!

We are exposed to dangerous chemicals each day and and shockingly enough, many of those chemicals can be found in our cosmetics and skin care products. A lot of the products on the market contain a range of toxins that suffocate the skin, in addition to containing artificial colors and corrosive chemicals. And we apply this to our skin, daily! Remember, everything that is applied to the skin – such as moisturizers, deodorants and other products are absorbed into the body and into the blood stream just as if you’d eaten it. It is said that the average person actually rubs or sprays 10 different beauty products on his or her body every day and absorb the nearly 130 chemicals we regularly expose ourselves to. That is a lot!

So, what are the benefits of changing your products to organic ones (besides the obvious)? Let me tell you: Better ingredients mean better results. Organic ingredients are those grown without synthetic fertilizers or pesticides, which is healthier for the planet and healthier for our bodies. Win-win if you ask us!

We are not urging you to toss all your products and spend countless money on new ones. Instead, start small. When your body lotion is out, go for an organic alternative. Going organic and natural does not mean that you have to compromise on quality or effectiveness. Look for companies with certified organic products and natural ingredients to ensure that your skin is healthy and radiant.
