It’s Sunday again and the familiar feeling of anxiety hits me. It’s tricky to explain since I really don’t have much to worry about, but it’s like a dark knot that starts in my gut and clouds my mind. I call it the Sunday blues. The weekend is coming to an end and another week is starting with a lot of to do’s and stress. I would rather be at home under my duvet watching Netflix. This isn’t something that I actually want to do though, I would probably get bored, but the thought of it is comforting. I’m sure this feeling isn’t unique or anything and it doesn’t happen every Sunday. Luckily!
But maybe the Sunday blues only means that you’ve had a great weekend? By thinking about all the fun I’ve had the last couple of days I can change mind set and actually make my brain appreciate the things ahead. So here we go, a little summary:
I went on a cruise conference
I got the chance to hang out with great people
I danced for hours
I sang
I laughed, a lot
Talked until the sun went up
I barely slept
Had too much to drink
I caught a cold and haven’t been able to leave my apartment in the last 24 hours but it was all worth it
Now these things makes me smile! And even though this was a one-time event I look forward to a new week. Come to think of it, Monday’s can be rather fun. Especially with colleagues like mine.
